It’s official: OnePlus is kicking off 2025 with a bang — or at least, a well-orchestrated online launch event.
The OnePlus 13 series — yes, series, suggesting more than just the flagship — is officially scheduled for an international debut on January 7. This isn’t just a single phone; it’s very likely that OnePlus 13R will be joining the party at the company’s Winter Launch Event.
For context, both the OnePlus 12 and its more budget-friendly sibling, the OnePlus 12R, landed in the Philippines earlier this year. The 12R sold for P43,990 (around $745) at launch, while the fully specced OnePlus 12 with a 16GB/512GB trim had a heftier P64,990 ($1,101) price tag.
Pricing in China, where the OnePlus 13 has already made its first appearance, starts at ¥4,499 ($617 or P36,453) for the base 12GB/256GB configuration, climbing to ¥5,999 ($823 or P48,606) for the top-tier 24GB/1TB trim. It’s worth noting that global versions can sometimes differ from their Chinese counterparts, so hold your horses on direct spec comparisons at this time. The OnePlus 13 is available in three colors — Obsidian, White, and Blue, with the latter sporting a faux-leather backplate.

Anyhow, let’s talk specs. The OnePlus 13 promises serious performance. Inside, you’ll find Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a substantial 6,000mAh battery that supports super-fast charging up to 100 watts, and a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel. That display features a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a crisp 1440p resolution, 4,500 nits of peak brightness, and a DisplayMate A++ rating.
The Hasselblad partnership is back for another round. The OnePlus 13 sports a triple-camera setup, with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor leading the charge. The OPPO sub-brand, predictably, is leaning heavily on the Hasselblad branding, emphasizing the camera maker’s involvement in fine-tuning the optics for optimal image quality.
Durability gets a boost, too. The OnePlus 13 jumps to an IP69 rating (up from the OnePlus 12’s IP65), meaning it’s built to withstand more extreme encounters with water and dust. And for unlocking, the company packs an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, promising improved performance compared to optical in-display readers, especially in low light or with wet fingers. Software-wise, expect OxygenOS 15 globally, built on top of Android 15.
