Huawei claims its latest tablet offering in the Philippines is “the ultimate lightweight PC-level productivity machine.” The Huawei MatePad 12 X, after all, has a lot of things going for it.
Slimmer than the Apple iPad Air and weighing just 555g, the device boasts an all-metal body and a 12-inch FullView Display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
The 4A PaperMatte screen technology Huawei has equipped it with eliminates glare and mimics the feel of writing on paper, even in bright sunlight. Combine that with the optional Magnetic Keyboard and 3rd Gen M-Pencil stylus, and you have a laptop-like tablet that young professionals, creators, and students can use. What’s more, the Huawei MatePad 12 X ships with a full-fledged WPS Office suite, offering a desktop-style interface and full Office365 compatibility.
A large 10,100mAh battery allows the device to support up to 14 hours of continuous video playback. And with the company’s 66-watt SuperCharge technology, the battery can get to full capacity in just 85 minutes.

The integrated HUAWEI Notes app provides a versatile platform for note-taking, sketching, and audio recording, seamlessly integrating various forms of media. Another app, GoPaint, empowers digital artists with an extensive array of realistic brushes and tools, facilitating the creation of intricate artwork limited only by the user’s imagination.
It doesn’t hurt that the Huawei MatePad 12 X looks refreshing. Its shimmery pearlescent finish incorporates natural Mica powder for a premium look and enhanced durability. The Star Ring dual-camera setup adds to its sleek aesthetics. Internally, a 2-in-1 Speaker Antenna Cavity design optimizes both audio and signal performance.
Lots of great features. But are they enough for the Huawei MatePad 12 X to redefine the tablet experience? How was our experience with it? Watch the video we embedded on this page to find out.
