Xiaomi has launched the REDMI K80 series in China, marking REDMI’s first smartphone release since its recent rebranding.
The devices aren’t just iterative updates; they’re packed with top-tier specs we expect from a flagship.
Let’s start with the screen. The REDMI K80 Pro and REDMI K80 are visual feasts, boasting a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED display, a collaboration with TCL that introduces a new M9 luminescent material. What does that mean for you? Eye-popping visuals with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate for buttery-smooth scrolling, and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Whether you’re gaming or streaming your favorite shows, the screen is ready to impress.
Under the hood, the K80 Pro flexes its muscles with Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite 5G processor, while the K80 packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, these phones are built for speed. Xiaomi even threw in a D1 gaming chip and an upgraded cooling system in the Pro model to keep things running smoothly during intense gaming sessions.

The K80 Pro Antutu benchmark score REDMI shared ahead of the launch
The REDMI K80 lineup doesn’t disappoint in the camera department either. The K80 Pro features a triple-camera setup on the back, which consists of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 32-megapixel ultrawide shooter, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a macro option. The K80 keeps the 50-megapixel primary sensor but opts for an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. Both units are equipped with Xiaomi’s AISP 2.0 for enhanced image processing.
How about battery life? The REDMI K80 Pro houses a massive 6,000mAh battery with 120-watt fast charging and 50-watt wireless charging. The non-Pro version gets an even bigger 6,550mAh battery with 90-watt quick charging. You’ll be able to power through your day without constantly searching for an outlet.

Xiaomi didn’t stop there. The latest REDMI smartphones feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for the first time in the series, along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. And for those who want the ultimate REDMI K80 Pro experience, there’s a special Automobili Lamborghini Quadra Corse Champion edition with a custom design and exclusive packaging, which is what you see in our feature image.
In China, the REDMI K80 series is priced from ¥2,499 (around P20,236 in Philippine pesos and $345 in U.S. dollars) for the base model and ¥3,699 (P29,953 or $510) for the K80 Pro. Now, we just have to wait and see when at least one of the impressive devices will make their way to the rest of the world. And probably as a POCO F7 series phone?
