OPPO Reno13 Pro, Reno13 debut as first Dimensity 8350 phones

And then there’s 13. OPPO has debuted its latest Reno lineup, which consists of the OPPO Reno13 Pro and OPPO Reno13, in China.

Both smartphones are the first to rock the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, a custom version of the Dimensity 8300 that’s fine-tuned for even better performance with a focus on gaming courtesy of the new StarSpeed Engine. And they get the brand’s in-house X1 chip for improved wireless connectivity.

Just like many of the devices that OPPO has released recently, the Reno13 series models are tough. They are IP69-rated, meaning they can handle being submerged in water and are basically dustproof — perfect for those accidental drops in the sink or adventures in the great outdoors.

The OPPO Reno13 Pro and OPPO Reno13 pack a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization to make it easier for you to take blur-free or steady images. Plus, they can record in 4K at 60fps. The Pro model steps it up a notch with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens for crisp zoom shots.

The displays are gorgeous on paper, too. The Reno13 has a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen, while the Reno13 Pro boasts a slightly larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display. Both have FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate as well as a small punch-hole cutout that houses a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

The two Android 15-based phones are not wanting in the battery department as well. The regular unit gets a 5,600mAh cell, and the Pro gets an even bigger 5,800mAh battery. Both support 80-watt wired charging and 50-watt wireless charging.

In China, the OPPO Reno13 Pro is available from ¥3,399 (roughly P27,725 or $470) in Starlight Pink, Butterfly Purple, and Midnight Black, while the non-Pro version has a starting price of ¥2,699 (P22,015 or $373) comes in Galaxy Blue, Butterfly Purple, and Midnight Black. Because the Reno11 series arrived in the Philippines in February this year, we expect at least one of the Reno13 smartphones to drop locally in the first quarter of 2025.
