OPPO has finally taken the wraps off its Find X8 Pro and Find X8 for the global market, months after its initial China debut.

But here’s the real big news for the local market: The standard OPPO Find X8 is making its way to the Philippines, marking the triumphant return of the OPPO’s flagship offering to the country.

It’s been a long wait for Filipino fans. The last flagship OPPO graced the Philippines with was the Find X2 Pro, way back in 2020 with a premium P65,990 price tag, which translates to roughly $1,119 converted.

Where to ‘find’ the OPPO Find X8 in the Philippines

In the Philippines, the OPPO Find X8 has a suggested retail price of P54,999 ($933) for the lone variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will be available online through Shoppee, TikTok Shop, and Lazada, though the latter will offer it a week earlier — starting tomorrow, November 22 — than other channels. Early adopters will get a free pair of OPPO Enco Air3 Pro wireless earbuds, along with free shipping and vouchers worth up to P5,000 ($85) to use on other OPPO products.

If you prefer to shop the old-fashioned way, you can grab the OPPO Find X8 offline starting December 1 at select retailers nationwide, though preorders begin today, November 21. Booking an order early will get you a free Enco Air3s plus a Bluetooth-enabled record player.

That’s not all. The company’s making it easier than ever to get your hands on the Find X8. It has partnered with Home Credit to offer its latest flagship in physical stores, with flexible installment options up to 18 months. Own a credit card? Enjoy 0% interest for up to 12 months on your purchase with any local credit card.

Need a carrier plan to go along with your new smartphone? Well, OPPO’s got you covered there, too. Local telcos Globe Telecom and Smart Communications will offer the Find X8 with a postpaid plan. And if you go that route, you’ll get even more exclusive freebies, including the official magnetic case for the phone, an AIRVOOC 50-watt magnetic charger, and the Enco Air3s. Now, that’s a value-packed deal.

Meet the ‘O-Phone’

OPPO’s clearly taking some shots at Apple with the Find X8. The redesigned chassis? Flat edges, just like the iPhone 16 Pro. But OPPO has one-upped the U.S.-based tech giant in the thinness department, squeezing its flagship down to a svelte 7.85mm compared to the iPhone’s 8.25mm. And that’s not even factoring in the rear camera bump, which makes the difference even more noticeable.

Inside, OPPO has opted for MediaTek’s shiny new Dimensity 9400 5G chipset. This 3nm processor, fresh on the scene just last month, promises a hefty performance boost. We’re talking 35% faster single-core, 28% faster multi-core, and a whopping 40% improvement in battery life. Bold claims, but we’ll see how they hold up in real-world use.

The camera’s the real star of the show here. OPPO’s gunning for photography dominance with the Find X8. This non-Pro model packs a triple-camera setup, with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens as the headliner. It’s powered by Sony’s LYT-600 sensor, so we’re expecting some genuinely impressive imaging chops.
