On the global stage, nubia has launched the Z70 Ultra flagship. Here in the Philippines, the ZTE sub-brand has dropped the entry-level nubia V70 Design.

The smartphone is looking like a pretty sweet deal for those who want a stylish handset without breaking the bank — nubia is really playing up the whole “capture life’s moments” angle here, which makes sense with that 50-megapixel AI camera. The v70 Design also has some AI-powered software tricks like the Magic Eraser for cleaning up backgrounds and a Smart Gallery that even suggests captions for your photos.

The unit itself has a pretty decent 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, so everything should look smooth and vibrant. And with a 5000mAh battery, you should be able to take pictures and scroll through your feed all day long. It ships with Android 14 and has Live Island 2.0, which is basically nubia’s take on Apple’s Dynamic Island.

Available in vegan leather back options in jade green and in gray glass finish, the nubia V70 Design is priced at P5,299 (roughly $90). But if you buy it during the Shopee Payday Sale on November 30, you can get the phone for only P4,504 ($77) using a voucher worth P795 ($14). Plus, every purchase comes with a free P899 ($15) speaker, which is available while supplies last.
