Confirmed: HONOR Magic V3 unfolding in PH Nov 20

HONOR‘s Magic V3, the impossibly thin foldable phone that debuted at IFA 2024 in Berlin, Germany, is making its way to the Philippines.

No less than the company’s local arm confirmed the launch will happen on November 20. However, we’re still in the dark about pricing and whether it’ll be a solo act or arrive alongside the MagicPad 2 and MagicBook Art 14 refresh.

Considering the previous-gen model, the HONOR Magic V2, launched at P79,999 (roughly $1,361), we’re hoping the brand can keep the HONOR Magic V3 within a reasonable price range. Recall that the V2 was offered in a single configuration packing 16GB of physical RAM and 512GB of storage.

Officially launched for international markets last September, the HONOR Magic V3 is a head-turner. At just 9.2mm thick, it’s thinner than a lot of other smartphones out there, putting bulkier foldables to shame. In the hand, it really feels like the Magic V3 is in a league of its own.

And despite its improbably sleek profile, the device packs a mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a massive 5,150mAh battery, and a triple-camera system with a 50-megapixel main image sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope-telephoto shooter.

It goes without saying, the HONOR Magic V3 could be a game-changer in the exciting foldable space. Stay tuned for our full coverage of the Philippine launch next week. As usual, we’ll be putting the unit through its paces in the coming days, so make sure to check back for our full review once the local embargo lifts. We’re eager to see if this super-slim foldable lives up to the hype.
