Xiaomi has announced its latest line of upper-midrange smartphones under the sub-flagship T series. The Xiaomi 14T Pro and Xiaomi 14T are now official globally and also in the Philippines, where both models are already available for online and offline preorders.

Designed to redefine what’s possible in smartphone imaging, particularly in low-light conditions, the devices are positioned as excellent options for users who love taking pictures in all kinds of lighting. Beyond their impressive camera capabilities, the phones offer a sleek design, cutting-edge MediaTek processors, and vibrant AMOLED displays. These elements combine to create a well-rounded unit that’s not just a photography powerhouse but also a capable all-rounder for daily use.

The choice between the Pro and regular variants comes down to whether or not you want more high-end features on your smartphone, like an aluminum frame, a more powerful processor, and faster charging, and are willing to pay the premium for them.

Pricing and availability

In the Philippines, the Xiaomi 14T Pro starts at P37,999 (roughly $680) for the online-exclusive base version with 256GB of non-expandable storage, while the 512GB and 1TB kits are priced at P39,999 ($716) and P41,999 ($752), respectively. The top-of-the-line model will be exclusively sold in retailers nationwide, so keep that in mind if you’re eyeing this particular configuration. All variants come with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

The Xiaomi 14T has two storage configurations — 256GB and 512GB, priced at P25,999 ($465) and P27,999 ($501), respectively. They come with 12GB RAM as well. During the preorder period, which lasts until October 3, offline customers will receive a free premium gift box worth P2,099 ($38) with their purchase. Online customers who place their orders will receive a free 120-watt fast charger.

All Xiaomi 14T series models come with 12GB of RAM and no expandable storage, so you might want to choose the highest configuration you can afford.

Xiaomi says its latest premium offerings are more than just smartphones that are co-engineered with Leica; they’re a productivity powerhouse. Thanks to their advanced AI capabilities, the Xiaomi 14T Pro and Xiaomi 14T can help you with everything from searching to creating content.

With Circle to Search powered by Google, for example, you can instantly search anything you see on your screen without switching apps. The Gemini app, meanwhile, can help you with writing, learning, and planning, among others. For those who struggle with language barriers, AI Interpreter can help you overcome them in personal and virtual meetings and calls. AI Notes and AI Recorder promise to take your productivity to the next level, offering speech-to-text transcription and speaker recognition right at your fingerprints.

On the creative side, Xiaomi’s AI Image Edit feature lets you expand images and remove unwanted elements — no PC or third-party apps required. AI Film makes creating cinematic short videos easy. And AI Portrait generates personalized avatars, allowing you to showcase your unique style. However, it’s also important to note that some of the features like AI Portrait are still being developed and require beta-tester access to use.

So, whether you’re a photography enthusiast or a productivity-driven individual, the Xiaomi 14T series promises a compelling blend of performance, features, and value.
