vivo has expanded its V40 series with today’s introduction of the vivo V40e 5G, vivo V40 Lite 4G, and vivo V40 Lite 5G.

The first was launched in India, while the other two became official in Indonesia. All three models are designed to offer a combination of sleek design, decent performance, and advanced features and cater to a variety of preferences and budgets.
vivo V40e 5G
The V40e 5G looks like its more premium siblings — the vivo V40 5G, which just became available in the Philippines, and the vivo V40 Pro 5G.
It boasts a super-slim body at only 0.749cm even if the smartphone has a big battery rated at 5,500mAh. The 3D curved screen is of the OLED variety that measures 6.67 inches and supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It also packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, allows 80-watt fast charging, runs on Android 14 layered with FuntouchOS 14, and ships with the company’s AI Imaging suite.
While the vivo V40e 5G might not be co-engineered with known German optics manufacturer ZEISS, the brand has equipped the device with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main sensor that offers optical image stabilization. The rear camera setup includes an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, too. A 50-megapixel shooter with eye auto-focus and 92-degree wide-angle field of view takes care of selfies.
In India, the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB versions of the V40e 5G are priced at ₹28,999 (roughly P19,383 or $347) and ₹30,999 (P20,720 or $371), respectively.

vivo V40 Lite 4G and vivo V40 Lite 5G
Make no mistake, the v40 Lite 5G unveiled in Indonesia is not the same as the variant that was released in Europe in June. That one is near-identical to the vivo V30e 5G.
The new version and the V40 Lite 4G, however, share a similar design and specifications, with the primary difference being the chipset. The latter is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset, while the other relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC.
Both models feature a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 32-megapixel front-facing unit, a 5,000mAh battery with 80-watt fast-charging support, FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14, and vivo AI Imaging suite.
The LTE variant is priced at Rp3,299,000 (P12,213 or $218) for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and Rp3,599,000 (P13,321 or $238) for double the storage. The more accessible model costs Rp4,299,000 (P15,912 or $284).
