TECNO is out to make a splash yet again with today’s launch of its latest devices.

The Transsion Holdings brand has unveiled the Phantom V Flip2 5G and Phantom V Fold2 5G. Both second-generation smartphones offer a sleek, foldable design and a range of features, including the brand-new TECNO AI suite of AI functions.

TECNO Phantom V Flip2 5G

The Phantom V Flip2 5G offers a unique folding design with a large 3.64-inch cover screen. This allows you to access and use many apps without even opening the main display. The inner panel, on the other hand, is a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution.

For your imaging needs, there’s a dual 50-megapixel rear-camera setup that includes an ultrawide-angle shooter with a 150-degree field of view. Selfies are taken care of by a 32-megapixel front camera on the inner display.

Powering the TECNO Phantom V Flip2 5G is a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor mated to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It packs a 4,720mAh battery that supports 70-watt fast charging, providing a full charge in just 43 minutes, and ships with an Android 14-based user interface out of the box.

Crafted by Germany’s Loewe, the Phantom V Fold2 5G builds upon the success of its predecessor, offering a refined design and powerful performance. Despite its larger size, the unit is remarkably thin and lightweight, measuring less than 6.1mm when unfolded and under 12mm when folded. The inner screen measures 7.85 inches while the cover display is 6.42 inches, providing a versatile viewing experience.

The TECNO Phantom V Fold2 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset paired with 12GB expandable RAM and 512GB storage. There’s a redesigned camera island with a triple 50-megapixel camera setup on the back, including a main wide camera, an ultrawide shooter, and a portrait lens. Taking care of selfies is a dual 32-megapixel camera system. And inside is a 5,750mAh battery that supports 70-watt wired and 15-watt wireless charging.

Like its foldable sibling, the second-gen Fold benefits from TECNO ‘s AI Suite, which includes features like AI Translation, AI Writing, and the Ella voice assistant.

The TECNO Phantom V Flip2 5G costs $699 (roughly P39,104), while the TECNO Phantom V Fold2 5G is priced at $1,099 (P61,482). Both devices will be released in Africa starting September 23, with plans for expansion to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America later in September and October.
