Finally, Nubia’s latest gaming beast has arrived in the Philippines.

The global version of the RedMagic 9S Pro, part of the smartphone series that’s powered by the world’s first overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, can now be purchased for as low as P50,999 (roughly $901) for the 12GB/256GB model. The 16GB/512GB version, on the other hand, has a suggested retail price of P61,999 ($1,096).

With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version 5G processor, the RedMagic 9S Pro has achieved a staggering Antutu score of over 23 million. This translates to a significant boost in CPU and GPU performance, with clock speeds reaching 3.4GHz and 1GHz respectively. Additionally, the device boasts impressive power efficiency, showcasing a 34% reduction in CPU power consumption and a 38% decrease in GPU power consumption compared to previous models.  

Complementing the chip is a massive 6,500mAh battery with 80-watt fast-charging capabilities for uninterrupted gaming sessions and everyday use, lasting up to 56 hours on a single charge. Qualcomm Quick Charge 5 technology ensures the phone charges safely and efficiently.

The RedMagic 9S Pro features an upgraded ICE 13.5 cooling system that features a new frost cooling gel and an 11-layer design. The result is a significant 19.5°C drop in CPU core temperature and a 20% increase in cooling efficiency. The high-speed turbofan operates silently at 4dB while efficiently drawing heat away with its 22,000 rpm shark-fin blades. You can even customize the RGB lighting of the fan for a personalized touch.

Up front is a 6.8-inch FHD+ screen with BOE Q9+ luminescent technology that offers a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio and several eye-care features like 2160 Hz PWM+DC dimming and fifth-generation under-display camera tech. There are also dual 1115K speakers, five magnetic sound units, and a large 1.6cc sound cavity here. The Snapdragon Sound with DTS:X ULTRA certification further enhances audio immersion.

Features that are specifically designed for gamers include the following:

  • 520Hz shoulder triggers with increased touch area and customizable RGB effects;
  • 2000Hz touch-sampling rate and 7.4ms response rate for lightning-fast response times;
  • new Game Space features like Super Wallpaper with classic retro game wallpapers, screen extraction function, display customization options, and resource pre-downloads;
  • enhanced large 0815 super linear motor for stronger vibrations and reduced noise; and
  • 4D shock joint adjustment function for personalized vibration intensity.

The RedMagic 9S Pro is equipped with a dual-rear-camera system with a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultrawide-angle sensor. It likewise includes a 7th-generation ultra-thin screen fingerprint sensor with heart-rate detection, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for NFC.
