The company plans to livestream the event alongside realme Portrait Master Academy sessions to showcase the smartphone’s camera chops.
Joining the already-available realme 12 Series 5G that includes the realme 12 Plus 5G and realme 12 Pro Plus 5G in the Philippines, the 4G variant is a curious addition. While it drops a more capable processor with 5G connectivity, it still packs some serious hardware features for its category. We’re talking a 120Hz AMOLED display with 2,000 nits of peak brightness, always-on capabilities, and an in-screen fingerprint reader, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main image sensor, and impressively fast 67-watt wired charging. All this while sporting a sleek, luxury watch-inspired design with a smooth matte finish in Skyline Blue and Pioneer Green colors.

Under the hood, an efficient 6nm Snapdragon 685 chipset paired with Adreno 610 graphics handles the processing duties. Despite the aging processor, realme promises smooth multitasking and casual-gaming performance thanks to its AI Boost software. The phone runs realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box and offers up to 8GB of RAM plus an extra 8GB of virtual RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB.
Camera-wise, the realme 12 4G boasts a primary shooter with optical image stabilization, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor at the back, and a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies, vlogs, and video calls. A large 5,000mAh battery keeps the lights on, supported by fast-charging tech, promising a 50% charge in just 19 minutes. Audiophiles will appreciate the dual speakers and headphone jack.
Local pricing remains under wraps, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on the launch to see how the realme 12 4G stacks up against the competition. Hopefully, the brand’s local arm can keep the price competitive.
