A new ChatGPT-powered device has landed on local shores.

Infinix has launched its first-ever tablet in the Philippines. The Infinix XPAD, powered by ChatGPT, offers a unique blend of affordability and AI-driven features.

Priced starting at just P7,499 (around $134) for the WiFi-only model, the XPAD is a budget-conscious option for those seeking a tablet with smart-assistant capabilities. If you prefer the 4GB/128GB LTE version that supports mobile data, you’ll have to pay P9,499 ($169). You can find the product in Frost Blue, Titan Gold, and Stellar Grey on the Transsion Holdings brand’s official stores on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop as well as partner retailers nationwide.

The XPAD is billed as an AI-powered tablet for work, play, and everything in-between. It comes preloaded with Folax AI Personal Voice Assistant, which is built around ChatGPT and allows you to control your tablet hands-free and access information with simple voice commands.

Beyond its AI capabilities, the company’s initial tablet offering seems to offer a solid set of specifications, considering its budget-friendly price point. It features an 11-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, providing smooth visuals for gaming and multimedia consumption. Powered by a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, the Infinix XPAD has been designed to deliver efficient performance while conserving battery life.

The device also sports a dual rear-camera setup with a 12-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary shooter for capturing photos and videos. For video calls and selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. There’s a multi-device collaboration function, too, for seamless connectivity with other devices, plus a quad-speaker stereo sound system for immersive audio and an Android 14-based user interface.
