HONOR is set to unveil its groundbreaking Magic V3 foldable smartphone globally at IFA 2024. The flagship device, which has garnered significant attention for its unprecedented thinness, will make its international debut on September 5 in Berlin, Germany. It will be announced alongside the MagicPad 2 12.3-inch tablet and the latest MagicBook Art 14 laptop refresh.

Following the HONOR Magic V3‘s July debut in China, the global launch was inevitable. By spotlighting the phone at this year’s IFA event, the company is clearly pushing to make a dent in the foldable market currently dominated by Samsung.

While specifics about a Philippine release have yet to be confirmed, the previous success of the HONOR Magic V2 locally suggests a strong possibility. Recall that the latter was released in the Philippines with a price tag of P79,999, which translates to about $1,411 converted. The Magic V2 was offered in a single configuration featuring 16GB of physical RAM and 512GB of storage.

Unfolding globally September 5

The HONOR Magic V3 is a marvel of engineering. Its slim 9.2mm profile and featherlight 226-gram body redefine what a foldable phone can be. In fact, its form factor is more akin to a regular flagship like the Magic6 Pro than its bulkier rivals, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, and the recently launched Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Despite its compact design, the HONOR Magic V3 packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a robust 5,150mAh battery, matched only by the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. It charges pretty fast, too. Additionally, its triple-camera system, including a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, promises advanced imaging capabilities.
