July 19 is a big day for Xiaomi. CEO and founder Lei Jun will introduce new products and share the company’s journey in building its first electric vehicle over the past three years.
(Update, July 19: The Xiaomi Mix Flip and Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 are official! Plus there’s the Redmi K70 Ultra!)
Three of the devices that Xiaomi has officially set the stage for are the Redmi K70 Ultra, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, and Xiaomi Mix Flip.
The most premium smartphone in the K70 series, the Redmi K70 Ultra is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus, a 5G processor that’s designed to be a top-end contender for on-device AI. The chipset is paired with up to a whopping 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The camera system is a highlight, featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main sensor that is reportedly accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide cam and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Camera performance is taken a step further with the first-ever inclusion of a self-developed AISP imaging algorithm in a Redmi phone.
The Redmi K70 Ultra also boasts a 5,500mAh battery that supports 120-watt fast charging, an IP68 rating, and a flat 1.5K OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. Xiaomi’s in-house Pengpai T1 signal-enhancement chip is said to be a highlight here as well, designed to deliver a noticeable boost in WiFi (12%), GPS (20%), and 5G signal strength (58%).
The Redmi K70 Ultra could be a China-exclusive phone, but word has it that a tweaked version will be launched as the Xiaomi 14T Pro on the global stage.

Of course, the star of the show is the foldable duo.
Let’s talk about the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 first. The device is already shown in all its glory through a teaser video. Glimpses of the phone highlight its sleek design and remarkably thin profile. Xiaomi boasts a folded thickness of just 9.47mm and a weight of 226g. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 comes in at a thicker 12.1mm when folded.
But the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 isn’t all about aesthetics. The teaser also hints at a powerful quad-camera system enhanced by Leica optics, including two telephoto lenses, one of which is a 5x periscope unit. Expect flagship features, including an IPX8 water-resistance rating and a fast 50-watt wireless-charging support.
Unsurprisingly, the foldable’s full specifications remain under wraps. The July 19 event should provide a deeper dive into the Mix Fold 4’s capabilities, including its complete spec sheet and price.
Now, how about the Xiaomi Mix Flip, which has already been spotted on several certification sites? Last week, the company confirmed that its first clamshell-style foldable will be released this month. True enough, as can be seen on the brand’s global website, the Mix Flip will be launched on the 19th as well.
Listings indicate that this model is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 5G chip. It is said to feature a 1.5K screen, a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 60-megapixel telephoto with 2x optical zoom, a 32-megapixel selfie sensor, and a 4,900mAh battery with 67-watt fast charging.
Keep your eyes peeled here, as we give you updates on the Redmi K70 Ultra, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, and Xiaomi Mix Flip. See you in a few days.
