realme has finally spilled the beans on the global launch date for its upcoming number series, which will comprise the realme 13 Pro and realme 13 Pro Plus.
(Update, July 30: The realme 13 Pro Series 5G is official!)
After teasing the smartphones earlier in July, the company has confirmed an Indian launch for July 30. The event will be streamed online, with other details likely to be revealed on realme’s official channels soon.
While an unveiling in the Philippines isn’t confirmed yet, things could quickly change in the coming weeks. Recall that the realme 12 Plus 5G and realme 12 Pro Plus 5G arrived at local retail in March this year. The base model debuted with a starting price of P17,999, or roughly $308, for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Save the date
The camera department is shaping up to be a highlight, with both the realme 13 Pro and realme 13 Pro Plus confirmed to sport Sony LYT sensors. The Plus variant takes things a step further with a 50-megapixel LYT-701 main sensor with optical image stabilization, flanked by a 50-megapixel LYT-600 telephoto shooter offering 3x optical zoom.
Beyond the headline camera specs, details remain under wraps. realme is heavily promoting this lineup as its “first professional AI camera phone,” hinting at some advanced AI-powered features. Given that realme and OPPO share the same China-based parent company, BBK Electronics, it wouldn’t be surprising to see features similar to OPPO’s AI Eraser and AI Portrait app found on the recently launched Reno12 Pro and Reno12.

Inspired by Monet’s masterpieces
The design also deserves a mention, with realme collaborating with the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The phones will come in three colorways at launch: Emerald Green, Monet Gold, and Monet Purple. The latter two draw inspiration from French Impressionist Claude Monet’s famed works “Haystacks” and “Water Lilies.”
Expect more details to trickle out in the coming days as we inch closer to the global launch event on July 30.
