Following the launch of the TECNO POVA 6 Pro 5G in the Philippines in March, the company is set to release two new smartphones under the POVA 6 line.

The TECNO POVA 6 and TECNO POVA 6 NEO are set to make their debut at local retail, with both models going on sale beginning June 4 on different platforms. The price has yet to be announced, but the POVA 6 will be exclusive to Lazada and arrives with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone adopts a similar chassis to the POVA 6 Pro 5G, with some minor changes, and will be available in Comet Green, Meteorite Grey, and Interstellar Blue colors. 

The Shopee-exclusive TECNO POVA 6 NEO also takes its design cues from others in the lineup and comes in Speed Black and Starry Silver colors. Like the POVA 6, the local variant has one configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. 

Specs-wise, the major differences between the two come down to the camera setup and battery. The POVA 6 NEO has a larger 7,000mAh battery compared to the POVA 6’s 6,000mAh cell. The POVA 6, on the other hand, seems more suited for mobile photography and vlogging, with its 108-megapixel main rear camera and 32-megapixel selfie shooter. By contrast, the POVA 6 Neo pairs a 50-megapixel image sensor at the back with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. 

That said, it really comes down to your priorities. If you’re after longer battery life, the TECNO POVA 6 NEO might be a more solid pick. The TECNO POVA 6 is probably a better all-around option because of its sharper cameras, though.  

Elsewhere, both phones pack a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Helio G99 4G processor that runs the company’s Android 14-based custom Android overlay out of the box. They have dual speakers with Dolby Atmos audio as well. 

Ultimately, whether you prioritize endless stamina for gaming sessions or crave a camera that captures crystal-clear moments, TECNO offers a POVA 6 option to suit your needs.
