Finally! The imaging-focused smartphone lineup that TECNO showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, will make its way to the Philippines soon.
(Update, May 10: Our two-week experience with the TECNO CAMON 30 5G is up! And you can find all of the models’ prices in the Philippines here.)
The TECNO CAMON 30 series is confirmed to launch in the country May 10, based on the material the now-formidable brand just sent us at Revü. And while it hasn’t announced the exact models that will be released locally, there are clues as to which of them will be available here, to wit:
- the TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G was the official tournament phone of Farlight 84 Philippines Championship Season 3 Finals;
- the CAMON 30 5G is listed on TECNO’s store on Shopee; and
- the TECNO CAMON 30 Premier 5G has appeared on the brand’s shop on Lazada.
We’re not sure if the 4G version of the CAMON 30 will be launched, too, but we will update you as soon as we see any indication of its rollout to the Philippine market.

The upcoming lineup is marketed as a vlogging companion, being teased as a tool that you can use if you want to “vlog like a pro.” We’re not surprised. After all, it uses an imaging system that combines the strengths of both TECNO and Sony, featuring Sony’s LYTIA components, TECNO’s Universal Tone multi-skin-tone rendering technology, and cutting-edge AI capabilities. The goal is to “leverage AI technologies to enable industry-redefining videography capture.”
We got our hands on them at MWC 2024, and we can say they’re promising. We had fun checking out the line’s features, including AIGC Portrait.

Beyond imaging, one thing that stands out here is the CAMON 30 series’ Classic Side-axis Camera design. Again, not a surprise, because TECNO even has awards to show for it, including the MUSE Design Award. For everything else that the lineup has to offer, refer to the specs sheets at the end of this article. For updates from the company, follow this page.
In Nigeria where smartphones are usually more expensive, the units are priced starting at ₦273,000 (roughly P11,206 or $194).
