So what’s next for realme‘s GT series after launching the GT Neo6 SE in China almost a month ago?
(Update, May 9: The realme GT Neo6 is finally here!)
The brand has teased that the realme GT Neo6 is coming as soon as May 9. Even better, a microsite has revealed the design and a few key specs of the smartphone.
According to the page, the realme GT Neo6 is designed like the SE model. It’s equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 5G chipset. Benchmarks suggest the processor delivers near-flagship performance, making it a compelling option for users seeking a powerful chip without the top-tier price tag of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Devices that use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 include the Redmi Turbo 3 and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra.
realme has also revealed that the upcoming model features 1TB of storage (among others, for sure) and support for 120-watt SUPERVOOC fast-charging technology.
Rumor has it that the realme GT Neo6 likewise sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate; a 5,500mAh battery; a rear-camera system that consists of a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization and 8-megapixel ultrawide lens; and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Recall that its predecessor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-powered GT Neo5, was the fastest-charging smartphone when it debuted in China in February 2023, introducing a version that supports 240-watt quick charging. The handset launched on the global stage as the realme GT3. Could the GT Neo6 be the initial GT model that realme will release outside China when the series returns to the global market this year?
