POCO’s latest “flagship killers” are finally official. Unveiled at a swanky event here in Dubai, the newly launched POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro are here to give flagship phones a run for their money at relatively affordable price points.

In the Philippines, the POCO F6, which will be exclusive to Shopee, retails from P21,999 (around $378) for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, while the top-end 12GB/512GB configuration has a suggested retail price of P24,999 ($429). Prices for the POCO F6 Pro, meanwhile, starts at P26,999 ($464) for the 12GB/256GB kit, and climbs to P28,999 ($498) and P32,999 ($567) for the 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB variants. Unlike the regular F6, the F6 Pro will be exclusively available via POCO’s Lazada store.

Better still, steep discounts will be applied across the board for early adopters who purchase them on official channels until May 30. The discounted prices are listed below.

  • POCO F6
    • 8GB/256GB: P18,799 ($323)
    • 12GB/512GB: P21,199 ($364)
  • POCO F6 Pro
    • 12GB/256GB: P24,499 ($421)
    • 12GB/512GB: P26,199 ($450)
    • 16GB/1TB: P30,799 ($529)

On top of the discounted prices, you can also apply a P1,200 or $21 (POCO F6) or P800 or $14 (POCO F6 Pro) discount voucher depending on the model to further bring down the cost.

POCO’s press release

If you don’t mind the lower configuration, the POCO F6 is an attractive deal for under P20,000. For the money, you’re getting a flagship-grade Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is essentially an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in today’s cutting-edge mobile devices, with some bells and whistles missing. It’s still a powerhouse chipset, mind you, and should have no problems running the most power-hungry games out there at the highest graphics settings.

At the other end of the spectrum, there’s the 16GB/1TB variant of the POCO F6 Pro, which we tested for our review. At a lower price at launch, it’s also a bargain, especially if you’re after a top-performing smartphone with blazing-fast charging speeds and a boatload of storage for all the games you want to play on the go and your high-resolution music and video libraries. It’s also the more premium-feeling device of the two, with the F6 Pro dropping the plastic vibes of previous F series models in favor of a metal middle frame and a glass back.

Both smartphones are equipped with 6.67-inch OLED panels with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and a 50-megapixel main camera at the back. They boot Xiaomi‘s HyperOS skin based on Android 14 out of the box as well.
