The latest NOTE 40 series model from the top smartphone brand in the Philippines is now official in the country. And it’s something worth considering.

The Infinix NOTE 40 5G, which we wrote about in Budget champ: Infinix NOTE 40 5G gaming phone with 5G ultra-fast gameplay hits all the marks yesterday, is the most affordable variant of all the 5G models in the latest NOTE lineup. It will be available from May 23 for only P12,999 (roughly $224) and already comes with a free Infinix MagCharge.

Even better, the price goes down to just P9,999 ($172) — or merely P500 ($9) more than the P9,499 ($163) Infinix NOTE 40 4G — if you get the device from the company’s official TikTok Shop at any time between May 23 and May 25. That’s huge savings of P3,000 ($52)! But yeah, you can still purchase it on Shopee or Lazada as well. Or at Infinix kiosks nationwide.

Infinix has equipped the NOTE 40 5G with a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, 512GB storage, and up to 24GB extended RAM to — in its own words — let you experience ultra-fast gameplay. The smartphone is marketed at gamers on a budget after all.

Thanks to the brand’s 33W All-Round FastCharge feature, you can top up the Infinix NOTE 40 5G’s 5,000mAh battery from 0% to 50% in a mere 26 minutes in Hyper mode. You can also use the included 15W Wireless MagCharge to charge the unit wirelessly.

To complete your gaming experience, the handset ships with an exclusive Mobile Legends: Bang Bang sleeve featuring Astral Muse Esmeralda. The collaboration marks Infinix’s second year as an MLBB Professional League partner, reinforcing the Transsion Holdings sub-brand’s dedication to supporting the Philippine esports community.

Other features of the Infinix NOTE 40 5G include a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and a low-blue-light function; a 108-megapixel triple camera on the back; a 32-megapixel selfie shooter; dual speakers tuned by JBL; an IP53 rating; and an Android 14-based user interface.
