Samsung has made mobile artificial intelligence available to more smartphones and tablets after initially launching it on its flagship Galaxy S24 series.
Soon, the South Korean technology giant is integrating Galaxy AI into another product line, the Samsung Galaxy Watch. By combining on-device AI with the Samsung Health app, the company is looking to deliver some of the most personalized and secure health experiences yet.
The new features will arrive with the next Galaxy Watch lineup and One UI 6 Watch later this year. However, a limited beta program starts in June for select Galaxy Watch users.
What to expect
With the upcoming update, you’ll be able to get more holistic insights and motivation as well greater precision and accuracy. Some of those functions include the following:
- Energy Score. Get a holistic view of your daily condition with personal health metrics like sleep-time average, sleep-time consistency, bed/wake-time consistency, sleep timing, previous-day activity, sleeping heart rate, and heart-rate variability.
- Wellness Tips. Receive personalized guidance and motivation to reach your health goals.
- Sleep Insights. Have a better understanding of your sleep patterns so you can build better habits by obtaining a more detailed and accurate analysis of your sleep quality. The added metrics include movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate, and respiratory rate during sleep in addition to previously supported metrics like snoring hours, blood-oxygen level, and sleep cycle.
- Aerobic Threshold/Anaerobic Threshold Heart Rate Zone. New detailed metrics support efficient running while also quickly analyzing performance.
- Functional Threshold Power. Cyclists can easily calculate metrics in as fast as 10 minutes and train like a pro by using a personalized power index based on AI data analysis to maximize performance.
- Workout Routine. Combine several exercises for a personalized workout and seamlessly transition to the next exercise without stopping.
- Race. Compare current and past performance on the same routes.
