vivo‘s latest V lineup is official locally, marking the introduction of the first V series smartphone with Zeiss optics to the Philippine market.
We’re talking about the vivo V30 Pro 5G, of course, which packs a quad-camera setup co-developed with German optical-system manufacturer Zeiss. Three of them are on the back, while the last is up front, housed in a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the device’s 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen.
Joining the Pro model at the launch is the vivo V30 5G. Recall that the latter already went up for sale in the country more than two weeks ago, with the 12GB/256GB version going for P24,999 (roughly $444) and the 12GB RAM/512GB variant getting a P27,999 ($498) suggested retail price.
The vivo V30 Pro 5G with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, on the other hand, will be available starting April 1; it will retail at P34,999 ($622).

The announcement of the company’s newest portrait masters also heralds the return of light-filling tool Aura Light — new and improved this time, hence the name “Aura Light Portrait 3.0.” The feature transforms portrait photography by delivering 19 times more light and 50 times softer illumination than a standard flash. The result should be beautifully detailed, natural-looking shots even in dimly lit environments.
Both the V30 Pro and V30 units are slim and light despite the 5,000mAh battery with 80-watt fast charging. They are equipped with a similarly sized display, a 50-megapixel selfie camera and an IP54 rating and ship with an Android 14-based user interface. Of course, the more premium phone is powered by a more capable 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. The non-Pro model, on the other hand, relies on a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.
