Back then, we shared with you our first impressions of the smartphone, whose global launch we covered at this year’s edition of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. There’s finally good news for those of you who have been waiting for its local release: TECNO has announced that the POVA 6 Pro 5G will go official in the Philippines March 10.

The first Dolby Atmos-tuned device from the brand promises to power gaming and entertainment experience beyond limits, what with its large battery rated at 6,000mAh that’s set to deliver more than 11 hours of gaming, 14 hours of video streaming, and 31 hours of calling.

If you do need to top it up, know that there’s the brand’s 70-watt Ultra Charge technology here, as well as the 1% Super-Endurance Power feature, which will let you to make calls for up to 20 minutes. The cell is said to last for around six years and maintain 80% of its original performance. And despite the mega battery, the TECNO POVA 6 Pro 5G only measures 7.88mm in thickness and weighs just 195g.

There are cooling and safety solutions here as well, including the -20°C Extreme Cold Charging and Charging Water Detection, among others.

This new POVA 6 series phone likewise packs a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chip paired with 12GB RAM — expandable up to 24GB — and 256GB storage, a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with PWM 2160Hz high-frequency dimming and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, a 108-megapixel triple-rear-camera setup, a 32-megapixel selfie shooter, and Android 14-based HiOS 14. The latter comes with several updates, such as Game Space 4.0 and Game Assistant 4.0 for optimized gaming and Infrared Remote Control to make TECNO POVA 6 Pro 5G a true home hub.

What the company calls the Dynamic-Eye Design goes with the gaming theme, with the Dynamic Light Effect on the back cover creating ring-shaped and propeller-shaped light effects.

TECNO hasn’t announced the price of the POVA 6 Pro 5G yet, but just keep in mind that last year’s POVA 5 Pro 5G debuted with a suggested retail price of P9,999 (roughly $178).
