The vivo V30 5G is now official, with the phone scheduled for an international launch across more than 30 markets, including India, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Recall that a few days ago, we reported that the vivo V30 series will launch soon in the Philippines, according to the company’s local website. Last year’s vivo V29 5G was priced from P24,999 (around $445) at launch here, while the top-end 512GB storage version cost P26,999 ($480).

In our review, we said that the V29 5G “packs a fast and sharp curved AMOLED display and offers a decent 5G chipset for day-to-day tasks and gaming.” The biggest highlight for us, though, is the device’s front and rear cameras, which deliver strong performance, particularly when it comes to daytime scenes and portraits.

The vivo V30 5G is the first smartphone to pack a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 5G chipset, which debuted last November with TSMC’s 4nm process technology and a “1 + 3 + 4” CPU configuration. Per Qualcomm, the new chip will provide a 15% boost in CPU performance and up to 50% faster graphics compared to the previous generation.

The unit sees a 5,000mAh battery inside, up from last year’s 4,600mAh cell, and supports 80-watt fast wired charging. The larger battery capacity is particularly impressive, since the V30 5G is being touted as the slimmest vivo model yet with at least a 5,000mAh battery, at just 7.5mm at its thickest point.

Other notable specs include a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50E sensor, making the vivo V30 5G the first phone on the international market with the said camera sensor. There’s also a 50-megapixel secondary camera for ultrawide and another 50-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies.

vivo says the V30 5G will be available in four memory configurations, with the top-of-the-line kit offering 12GB of RAM and 512GB of built-in storage. It will come in four colors as well, each with its own distinct finish.
