Three devices in one day. Huawei Philippines has confirmed that the Huawei nova Y72 will also be hitting local shelves February 23.
The company earlier revealed that the Huawei MatePad 11.5″ PaperMatte Edition and Huawei Watch 4 will be available on that day at all Huawei stores nationwide and online, on the brand’s official store on Lazada and Shopee.
The Huawei nova Y72 comes with a suggested retail price of P9,999 (roughly $178) and is bundled with with a Leisure Gift Box worth P1,999 ($36). You’ll also get freebies, including Angkas vouchers that you can claim on the AppGallery.
The smartphone boasts a 6,000mAh battery for around 31 hours of video playback, with the ability to be charged fast via Huawei’s 22.5-watt SuperCharge technology.
On the left side of the nova Y72 is a hardware key called the X Button that you can program to give you easy access to, say, your favorite streaming app or food-delivery service. It lets you display your preferred applications, such as the calculator, flashlight, and voice recorder, in a quick menu with a simple tap as well, among other things. This feature is promising considering that Huawei says it’s pursuing a partnership with popular local services to incorporate the X Button into their apps.
The Huawei nova Y72 likewise sports a 6.75-inch display, a 50-megapixel dual camera on the back, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, EMUI 12, and a Kirin 710A chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. You get what Huawei calls a Starry Circle design as well as a look that’s quite similar to the Huawei P60 series.
