The latest results of Antutu‘s performance rankings in China are out.
The benchmarking platform’s January 2024 lists show there’s a new No. 1 best-performing Android phone in the flagship category, though the same sub-flagship chart-topper in December 2023 still reigned last month. Let’s take a look at the results of each segment.
Top 10 flagship smartphones
The Mediatek Dimensity 9300-powered OPPO Find X7, which was launched in early January, darted its way to the top with a 2,209,832 benchmark score. Former No. 1 OnePlus 12 slipped to sixth place, behind other devices such as the iQOO 12 Pro, ASUS ROG 8 Pro, OPPO Find X7 Ultra, and iQOO 12.
Notice that seven of the 10 models that made it to the list rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The 5G processor is based on TSMC’s third-generation 4nm process node and uses an “All Big Core” design, headlined by a high-performance Cortex-X4 core running at 3.25GHz. The result proves once again how dominant the American chip maker is in the premium space. The other three, of course, use MediaTek’s top-of-the-line chipset.
Top 10 sub-flagship smartphones
Last month’s ranking in the sub-premium category is quite similar to the one in December 2023. The Redmi K70E with MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra still led the pack with a 1,382,150 average monthly benchmark score. That number is way ahead of the other Android phones’ marks, with the closest only reaching 1,152,981 points.
Just like in December last year, the Taiwanese chip manufacturer owned this space, with only two handsets powered by a Qualcomm mobile platform — specifically the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 — entering the list, the realme GT Neo5 SE and Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12 Turbo.
