Xiaomi has officially rolled out the red — or should we say orange? — carpet for the latest Redmi Note 13 Series at a launch event in Bangkok, Thailand, which we are covering now. The company also announced three new wearables — the Redmi Watch 4, Redmi Buds 5, and Redmi Buds 5 Pro — on the same stage.

Xiaomi’s newest mainstream smartphone series debuts five new models, each offering significant aesthetic and hardware upgrades from the previous generation. There’s the 4G and 5G versions of the regular Redmi Note 13, as well as the top-of-the-line Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, which comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and a whopping 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Xiaomi says the newest additions to the Note family further close the gap between midrange and flagship devices and bring all-around improvements, particularly in the user experience and camera department, all while maintaining reasonable prices.

Pricing and availability of all devices

In the Philippines, pricing for the Redmi Note 13 Series is as follows:

  • Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G (Midnight Black, Ocean Teal, Aurora Purple)
    • 8GB/256GB – P16,999 ($304)
    • 12GB/512GB – P18,999 ($340)
  • Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G (Midnight Black, Moonlight White, Aurora Purple)
    • 8GB/256GB – P20,999 or $375 (Shopee-exclusive)

Meanwhile, pricing for the Redmi Buds 5 range starts at P1,899 ($34) for the regular variant, which arrives in Black, White, and Sky Blue colors. The Redmi Buds 5 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at P3,399 ($61) and comes in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Aurora Purple colors.

The Redmi Watch 4 will be available in Silver Gray and Obsidian Black colors with matching straps and retails at P4,899 ($88).

Preorders start tomorrow, January 16, until the 25th. Customers who purchase any Redmi Note 13 model during the pre-sale period will receive a free Xiaomi Smart Band 8.

Spotlight on the Redmi Note 13 Series

All phones in the series run Xiaomi’s MIUI 14 software based on Android 13 out of the box, while the chipset varies between models. The vanilla Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 13 5G are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 and MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processors, respectively. The 4G and 5G editions of the Redmi Note 13 Pro, meanwhile, use the latest MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra and Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chips. The latter is built on a flagship-grade 4nm process, just like the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC featured on the Redmi 13 Pro Plus 5G.

In terms of the camera, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G all get a 200-megapixel main image sensor that includes optical image stabilization and can use a center crop to deliver 2x and 4x lossless-quality images with just the tap of a button. The base model is no slouch either, featuring a 108-megapixel camera at the back.

All Redmi Note 13 phones come with an 8-megapixel ultrawide alongside a dedicated 2-megapixel sensor for closeup shots and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. They’re also equipped with a 6.67-inch, 120Hz AMOLED screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 or Gorilla Glass Victus, depending on the model. The resolution has been bumped up to 1.5K on the Pro variants, while the brightness goes as high as 1,800 nits.
