HONOR‘s latest and much-hyped smartphone is now available in the Philippines, following a successful marketing campaign that focused on the HONOR X9b 5G‘s class-leading impact resistance and all-round durability, largely thanks to its Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop display glass.
HONOR says the glass on the X9b 5G uses ” advanced cushioning technology using newly developed materials, which increases the shock absorption capacity by up to 1.2 times, ensuring utmost durability even when subject to drops from a height of 1.5 meters and all angles.” Impressively, it achieved a five-star Overall Drop Resistance rating courtesy of Switzerland-based firm SGS, one of the leading testing, inspection, and certification companies in the world.
But you don’t have to take HONOR’s word for it. Google it, or search for the phone on social media to see how it fared in a variety of drop and smash tests. Just keep in mind that you don’t have to put your unit through the same rigorous testing to prove a point.
If anything, you can think of the HONOR X9b 5G as one of the handful of non-rugged phones you can use without a case, as the device also comes with an IP53 rating to protect it against dust ingress and accidental water damage.
