This just released: Benchmarking platform Antutu has posted its performance rankings in China for December 2023.
And we have new chart-toppers. The OnePlus 12 led the list of best-performing Android phones in the flagship category with 2,188,135 points, while Xiaomi’s Redmi K70E replaced the realme GT Neo5 SE as the No. 1 model in the sub-flagship segment with an average monthly benchmark score of 1,413,428.
The OnePlus 12 is one of the devices now powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 5G processor. Take a look at the ranking below, and notice how all entries, except two — the vivo X100 and iQOO Neo9 Pro — are built around the Qualcomm’s most premium chipset. The outliers use the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 5G mobile platform.
In case you didn’t know, the chip is based on TSMC’s third-generation 4nm process node and uses an “All Big Core” design, headlined by a high-performance Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.25GHz.
It’s a different case in the sub-flagship space. MediaTek dominated this segment, with seven out of 10 smartphones being powered by the Taiwanese chip manufacturer’s products. Recall that the Redmi K70E debuted as the first handset to get the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra, which is based on TSMC’s second-generation 4nm process node and boasts an octa-core design with four Cortex-A715 high-performance cores and four Cortex-A510 cores for basic tasks and day-to-day usage.
The three devices that rely on Qualcomm chipsets here included the realme GT Neo5 SE, Redmi Note 12 Turbo, and vivo S18.
