The first member of Xiaomi‘s Redmi 13 series is about to be released in the Philippines.
(Update, December 1: The Redmi 13C is official with a starting price of P4,999 [roughly $90]!)
The Redmi 13C, which debuted in Nigeria around two weeks ago, is scheduled to go on sale on the Xiaomi Online Global Store on Shopee at 12 a.m. tomorrow, November 25. Only one memory configuration — the 4GB + 128GB variant — is listed there, though, and it’s going for P4,999 ($90).
Apparently, there are two more Redmi 13C versions that will go official in the country. Several retailer posts across different online platforms show that the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configs are headed to local shops this December. The two entry-level phones are supposedly priced at P5,499 ($99) and P6,499 ($117) at launch respectively.
The Redmi 13C counts its 6.74-inch 90Hz screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and TÜV Low Blue Light and TÜV Flicker-Free certifications, along with the 50-megapixel triple rear camera with new film-camera filters, as its key feature.
The smartphone is powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and comes with up to 16GB RAM if you include the extended RAM, as well as storage that can be expanded using a microSD card up to 1TB. It likewise packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18-watt charging, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.
