The latest device from Xiaomi‘s Redmi sub-brand is now available in the Philippines, adding yet another contender in the country’s saturated budget-tablet space.
The Redmi Pad SE with 4GB of physical RAM and 128GB of onboard storage is priced at P9,999 (around $176) on the local market, but you can get it for as low as P8,199 ($144) for a limited time if you purchase it from Xiaomi’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee. That’s P1,800 ($32) off the suggested retail price of an already aggressively priced Android tablet and cheaper than its list price in Europe, where the Redmi Pad SE starts at €199 (P12,018 or $212).
It’s even more budget-friendly for a limited time on TikTok Shop, going for only P7,999 ($141) until October 31.

The display is a big talking point here, which is not surprising considering the tablet is equipped with a large 11-inch FHD+ IPS panel with a decent 90Hz refresh rate and 400 nits of peak brightness. It also comes with TÜV Rheinland’s Low Blue Light Certification and Flicker Free Certification, making it suitable for children as well as late-night bingeing.

For a more immersive sound, the Redmi Pad SE boasts four speakers, along with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res playback compatibility, while an 8,000mAh battery should deliver all-day battery life on a single charge. Xiaomi quotes up to 43 days of standby time, 219 hours of music, and 14 hours of video playback for the tablet. It supports 10-watt charging over a USB-C port.
Other notable specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and video calls, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset that’s built on a 6nm process and runs the Android 13-based MIUI 14 overlay out of the box.
