The company has just revealed that the Xiaomi 13T series will be launched September 26 at a global event in Berlin, Germany. According to reports, the upcoming line will comprise the Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro, with the latter the only one expected to ship with Leica camera tunings, just like the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. The Xiaomi 13T launch announcement comes after the company unveiled its Q2 2023 earnings report. The previous quarter saw Xiaomi achieve an adjusted net quarterly revenue of ¥5.1 billion (about P39.81 billion or $700 million converted), marking a 147% year-over-year growth.
The company shipped 32.9 million smartphones during the same period and smashed sales records in its native China, including record first-day sales for the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 foldable phone and Redmi K60 Ultra. Market-research firm Canalys earlier revealed that Xiaomi maintained its position as the third-largest global smartphone vendor, holding a 12.9% market share in the second quarter of this year.

How the Xiaomi 13T Pro will supposedly look. We used the purple color variant as feature image for this article. Again, we don’t know for sure if that’s the real deal
Anyhow, not much is known about the vanilla model, but leaks for the higher-end Xiaomi 13T Pro have already made the rounds online prior to the launch announcement. It is said that the Xiaomi 13T Pro will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset, which competes directly with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and pack a 5,000mAh battery alongside support for fast charging up to 120 watts.
It could also have a 6.67-inch OLED flat display offering a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits of peak brightness, and high-frequency PWM dimming at 2,880Hz. For pictures, expect a 50-megapixel main camera alongside dedicated lenses for ultrawide and zoom shots. Based on what we know so far, there’s a good chance the Xiaomi 13T Pro will be similar to the Redmi K60 Ultra. Not that we’re complaining. We’ll know for sure in a matter of weeks. Stay tuned for our coverage.
