Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is getting ready to launch the successor to its Note 12 lineup, which was first offered in China in October last year.

(Update, September 22: The Redmi Note 13 series is now official!)

The brand has confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 series — composed of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 5G phones — will go official for the Chinese market September 21.

The tweaked feature image we used for this article is the initial launch teaser Redmi shared on Weibo. Only the Pro models can be seen there.

On the left side is the Note 13 Pro Plus, the first Redmi smartphone to feature a curved screen. The display has narrow bezels, with the chin measuring only 2.37mm thin, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The back is leather, but each section has a different shade, giving us a refreshing look that should help the device stand out in a crowd. The rear camera system is headlined by a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3 lens with a customized outsole sensor and supports optical image stabilization. Mediatek’s 4nm Dimensity 7200-Ultra 5G chipset is confirmed to power the unit.

On the right side is the Redmi Note 13 Pro. The screen is flat, but has a single punch hole for the selfie camera as well, similar to that of the Plus variant. The back looks like it’s made of glass and reminds us of marble flooring, the ocean, and even snow. It has a 200-megapixel main rear-camera setup, too, but could lack support for OIS.

The series’ launch is still a week away from now, so we’re pretty sure we’ll see more leaks before September 21. Right now, we’re wondering when the lineup will arrive in the Philippines, considering that the Redmi Note 12 lineup only became available in the country in April.
