If you’re in the market for a new entry-level smartphone from a reputable global brand, vivo might have something for you.
We found the vivo Y02t listed online, with pricing in the Philippines set at P5,999 or roughly $109 converted for the lone 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration.
This development comes on the heels of the brand’s previous announcement that it will launch the vivo Y36 locally. Based on the listings we saw online, it’s likely that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680-based Y36 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage will be priced at P12,999 ($236).
In the Philippines, the vivo Y02t is available in Cosmic Gray, Orchid Blue, and Sunset Gold colors. The design looks surprisingly premium and trendy, with the budget phone sporting a circular camera housing at the back and a matte-metallic finish. The same can’t be said about the front, though, which pairs a traditional notch with a thick bottom bezel.

Inside, the vivo Y02t is powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio P35 processor and a 5,000mAh battery that supports wired charging at up to 10 watts. It also runs Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. The phone supports virtual RAM expansion up to 4GB for a total of 8GB dynamic RAM, if you don’t mind giving up storage for better multitasking performance. Meanwhile, the IPS display is 6.51 inches and has an HD+ resolution.
To take pictures and video, the device uses a single 8-megapixel, f/2.0 camera around the back and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.2 lens.
