We at Revü have learned the OPPO A78 4G, which recently launched in other Southeast Asian countries, will be available in the Philippines from July 21.
(Update, July 21: The OPPO A78 4G is now available in the Philippines!)
OPPO‘s latest A series smartphone has been listed on Lazada, but there’s no local pricing as of yet. We do know that if you purchase it through the brand’s official online store on the said platform, you’ll be entitled to a free Bluetooth speaker on top of a 15% cashback voucher capped at P1,000 (roughly $18). In the Philippines, the OPPO A78 4G comes in Aqua Green and Mist Black colors.
The new model’s predecessor, the A77s, was priced at P13,999 ($258) at launch last year, while the 5G version of the A78 debuted with a P14,999 ($276) price tag at local retail in March.
Unlike the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695-based OPPO A78 5G, the 4G variant is powered by the Snapdragon 680 platform and comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage. It also packs a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz.
At the back, you get a 50-megapixel main rear camera alongside a secondary 2-megapixel sensor for portrait shots. For selfies, you’re looking at an 8-megapixel front camera. Other notable specs of the phone include a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging at up to 67 watts and ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13.
