More than a month after launching the Huawei nova 11 series in the Philippines, Huawei brings another set of its for-the-young “superstar” lineup to the country.

The Huawei nova Y91 and Huawei nova Y71 are now available locally, rolling out to online and offline stores with P15,999 (around $292) and P9,999 ($182) suggested retail prices, respectively. Every purchase comes with a free one-year Viu premium subscription worth P999 ($18).

Just like its predecessor, the Huawei nova Y91 gives us the Mate 50 Pro vibes. But this time, it adds some polish to the circular rear-camera module by accenting it with a gold outer ring. The front, on the other hand, now features an extended notch for the 8-megapixel selfie camera, as opposed to last year’s punch-hole cutout.

The main highlight here is the massive battery that’s rated at 7,000mAh, giving you about 29 hours of local video playback on a full charge. And should you need to charge it, doing so won’t take that long because of the company’s 22.5W SuperCharge technology.

The nova Y91 also boasts a 6.95-inch Huawei FullView Display with an always-on function and support for 90 refresh and 270Hz touch-sampling rates; a 50-megapixel main camera; a stereo dual-speaker system that offers a 300% Super Volume feature; and an efficient 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It already runs EMUI 13 out of the box.

As for the Huawei nova Y71, the more affordable of the two smartphones gets a huge battery with 22.5W SuperCharge technology, too, coming in at 6,000mAh. The display is big as well, measuring 6.75 inches and featuring a 90.26% screen-to-body ratio.

Here, you get a triple-camera system on the back that consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit. There’s also an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a Kirin 710A processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and EMUI 12.
