While ZTE Philippines hasn’t updated its smartphone lineup yet, we at Revü have learned that ZTE Thailand has added one to its offerings.
(Update, September 6: Here’s the price of the ZTE Nubia Neo 5G in the Philippines!)
The ZTE Nubia Neo 5G has gone official in our neighboring country with a ฿6,999 (around P11,137 or $200) price tag, with preorders for the device going live on the brand’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee in Thailand.
If you think the Nubia Neo 5G looks like a gaming phone, what with its mecha design, then it’s because it’s being marketed as such — even though it’s not nearly as powerful as its cousins from the RedMagic series.
Running the show here is a Unisoc T820 5G chipset that’s fabbed on a 6nm process and has a maximum clock speed of 2.7Ghz. The SoC is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Expect also an updated Game Space with features like game acceleration and screen recording, a multi-layer heat-dissipation system, a 6.6-inch HFD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 4,500mAh battery that supports 22.5-watt fast charging to give you a better experience when gaming on the smartphone.
Rounding out the ZTE Nubia Neo 5G’s specs are a 50-megapixel dual camera, an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, and a user interface based on Android T.
The Philippines is one of the most important mobil-gaming markets in our region, so who knows? We might just see the Nubia Neo 5G on our shores soon.
