Weeks after introducing its Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro flagships to the Philippine market, Xiaomi has launched something for entry-level consumers in the country.
The Redmi 12C is now official locally, carrying price tags of P5,499 (around $101), P6,499 ($119), and P7,499 ($138) for the 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB, and 4GB/128GB memory configurations, respectively. You can buy any of the three variants from a Xiaomi-authorized offline store or online — on Shopee, Lazada, or TikTok Shop. Each purchase entitles you to a free Mi Compact Bluetooth Speaker 2 worth P599 ($11).
There’s also a Redmi 12C version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that is available through Xiaomi’s e-commerce platforms and comes with a free pair of Redmi Buds 3 earphones. It costs P8,999 ($165), but early birds can get it for a discounted price of P8,599 ($158).
Keep in mind that the freebies and discounts for the variant other than the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage can only be availed during the promo period, which stars tomorrow, March 24, and ends on March 31.
The successor to the Redmi 10C, the Redmi 12C is powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and features a 50-megapixel dual-rear camera, a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10-watt charging, and a 6.71-inch HD+ screen. The budget smartphone is also equipped with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a fingerprint reader on the back, and Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top.
