Time for another entry-level A series phone from Samsung Philippines.
The Korean technology giant has released the Samsung Galaxy A04 in Orange Copper and Black just weeks after the local launch of the Samsung Galaxy A04s. The successor to the Galaxy A03 has three variants, and they’re priced as follows:
- 3GB/32GB: P6,790 (roughly $116)
- 4GB/64GB: P7,490 ($128)
- 4GB/128GB: P8,990 ($154)
Just like many of the smartphones that Samsung introduced lately, the Galaxy A04 has a minimalist look, sporting camera lenses without a camera island. It features a 50-megapixel, f/1.8 main rear sensor paired with a 2-megapixel, f/2.4 depth one; a 6.5-inch 60Hz screen with a 5-megapixel, f.2/2 camera housed in the display’s waterdrop notch; and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15-watt adaptive fast charging. You can find all of the handset’s specs below:
- 6.5-inch TFT display, HD+ resolution, 60Hz refresh rate
- Octa-core MediaTek P35 processor
- 3GB/4GB RAM
- 32GB/64GB/128GB expandable storage
- Dual 50-megapixel, f/1.8 main and 2-megapixel depth rear cameras
- 5-megapixel, f/2.2 front camera
- 5,000mAh battery with 15-watt microUSB charging
- OneUI Core 4.1 based on Android 12
- Color options in the Philippines: Orange Copper and Black
According to Samsung, “The Galaxy A04 is the ideal starter phone to gift young adults or soon-to-be adults as they embark on their first smartphone experience. It is the perfect first love for those who are looking for a reliable device that can assist them with their studies, help them capture clear photos with their friends and allow them to view content and play video games.”
And then there’s the Samsung Galaxy A04e…
The next A series phone that the brand is launching in the Philippines after the A04 is the Samsung Galaxy A04e, which debuted end of last month.
It’s not officially being sold in the country yet, but Samsung itself has already teased the device. We at Revü have discovered that the support page for the said model is live on the company’s local website as well.
