ASUS has announced local pricing and availability details for the massive ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED laptop with the industry’s first 17-inch OLED foldable display, which made its global debut at IFA 2022 in September.
In the Philippines, the newly launched hybrid device is priced at P219,995, or around $3,877 converted, for the single config kitted with an Intel Core i7-1250U processor, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 1TB storage. There are only 100 units available locally, and the lone black variant comes with a free lifetime license to Microsoft Office Home and Student 2021.
The hybrid device also includes a lightweight Bluetooth keyboard with a built-in trackpad that transforms it into a compact 12.5-inch laptop for mobile work. The keyboard attaches magnetically when placed on the lower half of the folded panel. You can also enable Laptop mode by turning the lower display into a virtual on-screen keyboard, making the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED ideal for on-the-go power users who want a convertible they can easily take from one meeting to the next — and will happily pay for it.
When fully unfolded, the 17.3-inch, 2.5K foldable touchscreen can stand on its own faux-leather kickstand and be used as a monitor alongside the keyboard and touchpad to create a pretty powerful large-screen PC. Or you can use it as a giant Windows tablet if you so choose — though you may want to fold it in the middle to create two seamless 3:2 12.5-inch displays that can accommodate multiple apps and browser tabs. You can even connect the device to an external monitor via one of its two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The overall design is a well-thought-out one, the possibilities are many, and the results could be worth the hefty price tag attached to the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED. And despite its unmatched versatility and screen size, this convertible tips the scales at just 1.5kg without the keyboard and weighs less than a 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro.
As for the folding screen itself, the panel brings Dolby Vision, full DCI-P3 coverage, and Pantone validation for color accuracy. It arrives with TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue-light emissions, which is important given the device’s giant screen size. You also get a Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos sound system with four speakers to complement the color-accurate OLED panel.
