(Update, November 13: Xiaomi has revealed the Xiaomi 12T series’ launch date in the Philippines!)
This is the Xiaomi 12T lineup, which includes the Xiaomi 12T Pro and Xiaomi 12T, and it’s poised to go after consumers who are looking for a pro-grade mobile-photography experience.
The Pro model’s camera system is headlined by a 200-megapixel Samsung Isocell HP1 sensor, which measures 1/1.22 inches, does 16-in-1 pixel binning, and outputs 50-megapixel stills with 1.28μm individual pixels and even the full resolution with 0.64μm-sized pixels. With features such as Xiaomi ProCut and Ultra Burst and its support for 8K video capture in full resolution, the Xiaomi 12T Pro should be able to help you create professional-looking content, hence the “make moments mega” tagline.

The non-Pro version, on the other hand, is equipped with a 108-megapixel main rear camera assisted by 8- and 2-megapixel lenses, respectively, for ultrawide and macro shots.
The newly announced smartphones are flagship devices, so naturally, they’re fitted with other powerful specs.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro boasts Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 5G chip, a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120-watt HyperCharge fast-charging tech, a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum of 480Hz touch-sampling rate, dual speakers with professional tuning by Harman Kardon, and MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
The Xiaomi 12T has essentially the same specs as the Pro unit, except its speakers are not tuned by Harman Kardon and it’s powered by a 5nm MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Ultra 5G processor that features an all-new GPU structure for a 30% increase in performance and power efficiency. And it gets a different camera system, of course, as we mentioned earlier.
In Europe, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is priced from €749 (roughly P43,628 or $743), while the non-Pro costs from €599 (P34,907 or $594). The two smartphones are confirmed to arrive in the Philippines. However, we don’t have the pricing and availability yet. Stay tuned for those details.
