OPPO has started teasing an A series phone in Southeast Asia — in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand thus far. But ahead of the official public launch, the company has revealed the specs of the device. Even better, some retailers have already announced its price.
(Update, December 28: What makes the OPPO A77s an #AbsolutelyStylishandPowerful phone? Here, in a nutshell, are its top features!)
(Update, October 13: The OPPO A77s has been launched alongside the A17 and A17k in the Philippines!)
Just like the recently announced OPPO A17, at least one of the OPPO A77s color variants is wrapped in faux-leather material, giving it a premium look. The 5,000mAh battery, which should let you watch your favorite shows for more than 17.5 hours with Power Saving mode, features 33-watt SuperVOOC fast-charging technology. The main camera on the back is a 50-megapixel sensor that can output 108-megapixel images, while up front is an 8-megapixel one inside the 6.56-inch screen’s waterdrop notch. There are dual ultra-linear stereo speakers, too.
Powering the Android 12-based A77s is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chip paired with 8GB of RAM — expandable up to 13GB — and 128GB of storage, which you can extend up to 1TB via a microSD card.
In Malaysia, the OPPO A77s in Starry Black and Sky Blue is priced at RM999, or roughly P12,669 in Philippine pesos and $216 in U.S. dollars. In Thailand, the model in Sunset Orange and Starry Black costs ฿8,990 (P14,124 or $241).
Will this become available in the Philippines? We’ll let you know as soon as we find out.
