Tecno Camon 19 series official in PH. Here's how much it is here

Right timing. Two days after news broke that Transsion Holdings — which owns Tecno, Infinix, and Itel — became the second-biggest smartphone vendor in the Philippines, Tecno Mobile has launched its latest Camon lineup locally.

The Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G, Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition, Tecno Camon 19 Pro, and Tecno Camon 19 are now official in the country, with the quartet set for a nationwide release on August 26.

Of the four models, only one has access to 5G. The Camon 19 Pro 5G’s MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip gives the smartphone access to the fifth-generation mobile network. The LTE-based Pro units are equipped with a MediaTek Helio G96 processor, and the non-Pro version comes with a Helio G88 SoC.

However, all of them debuted as the world’s first handsets with a 64-megapixel RGBW + (G+P) lens co-developed with Samsung. As we explained before, white takes the place of green in RGBW technology, while one of the traditional plastic lenses is replaced with crystal-glass one in G+P. The aim is to make images brighter by increasing light intake by more than 208%.

The Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G, Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition, Tecno Camon 19 Pro, and Tecno Camon 19 likewise boast screens with 0.98mm bezels, which the brand claims is the industry’s slimmest. You can see the specs of each phone at the bottom of this article.

So, how much is each member of this new series? According to to Tecno, the Camon 19 Pro 5G is priced at P15,490 (around $278). The 4G variant of the Camon 19 Pro costs P13,490 ($242); its similarly specced yet more beautifully designed Mondrian Edition retails at P14,290 ($257). The most affordable of them all, the Tecno Camon 19, is selling for P10,290 ($185).
