Realme Philippines’ first C series phones in barely five months is confirmed to launch a few days from now, more than a week after we at Revü spotted it on an e-commerce platform.

(Update, May 18: And the Realme C35 is finally in the Philippines!)

The Realme C35, dubbed the brand’s most stylish entry-level smartphone, will be launched May 18 with the lowest price guaranteed on TikTok Shop Philippines, according to the company. Unlike other handsets in the lineup, this one has a more modern, squared-off design. It gives off a glow when reflected on by light. It’s slim and light, too, coming in at 8.1mm and weighing 189 grams.

“We at Realme are committed to pushing the boundaries when it comes to product design and tech innovation even for our entry-level offerings,” Realme Philippines vice president for marketing Austine Huang said. “The stunning Realme C35 is definitely a testament to this, and we are excited to usher in a new era for our bestselling series.”

The Realme C35 features a 6.6-inch waterdrop display with FHD+ resolution and a 180Hz touch-sampling rate. The 50-megapixel main rear camera is assisted by dedicated macro and monochrome sensors. The Sony IMX355 camera up front, on the other hand, packs an 8-megapixel sensor.

The 5,000mAh battery supports fast charging up to 18 watts over a USB-C port. Powering the phone is the same octa-core Unisoc T616 4G chipset in the Realme Pad Mini, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. And then there’s Android 11-based Realme UI R Edition as well — basically a variant of Realme’s UI overlay that offers a near-stock Android experience.
