As you might know, the Redmi K50 Gaming, an upcoming flagship-grade gaming phone from the Xiaomi sub-brand, will launch tomorrow, February 16.
(Update, February 17: The Redmi K50 Gaming has gone official with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and dual VC cooling!)
The company has already sent invitations to several publications in China prior to the unveiling, and it has confirmed many of the specs that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-based gaming handset will come with.
The invitation box for Chinese media includes a tiny Mercedes-AMG F1 racing-car model, confirming earlier reports that the Redmi K50 Gaming will have a limited-edition launch model designed after the luxury car brand. It also contains some key cooling components of the smartphone, which is set to introduce the industry’s largest dual VC heat-dissipation system, with a size of 4861mm².

Previously, the Redmi K50 Gaming has been confirmed to feature a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ panel with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 480Hz touch-sampling rate. And though it hasn’t been released yet, DisplayMate has given the device an A+ rating for its screen quality, noting its ability to deliver accurate, true-to-life colors. It will also come with a triple-camera array at the back consisting of a 64-megapixel primary shooter, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide option, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor.
More impressively, the Redmi K50 Gaming will boast Xiaomi’s 120-watt fast-charging standard for its 4,700mAh battery, resulting in insanely speedy charging times. To wit: Redmi says a full charge from a dead battery should only take 17 minutes. It’s also worth mentioning that this particular K50 series model will accommodate horizontal charging, making it convenient to use while gaming.
