Announcement of the international launch date
The Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro have versions with similar bio-polymer material-based, paper-inspired overall aesthetic designed in its fourth collaboration with Japanese industrial-design master Naoto Fukasawa. That’s a first in the industry. Another world-first technologies introduced by the series: a 150-degree ultra-wide camera with Fisheye mode and Realme’s Innovation Forward Communication tech.
The lineup also ushered in optical image stabilization and Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 to the company’s handsets. The two models just vary in terms of screen size, chipset, and camera specs. You can see their respective specs at the end of this article.
The global premiere of the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro is one of Realme’s efforts to continue its momentum and further strengthen its presence in the industry. As of the third quarter last year, it became the youngest smartphone brand in the world to reach 100 million cumulative shipments. It also joined the top 5 smartphone vendors last quarter, based on market-research firm Canalys’ latest global sell-in data. Locally, Realme ended 2021 at the top of the Philippine smartphone-vendor rankings.
