(Update, February 12: The DIZO Watch 2 is only P1,999 [$40], but is it worth getting? Check out our review to find out!)

As an opening salvo for 2022, the company announced the local entry of its first partner brand — DIZO, whose philosophy is anchored on empowering consumers to #BeDifferent — at today’s Brand Summit event. The launch is in line with Realme’s goal of providing a smart TechLife to more Filipinos, giving them more choices when it comes to connected lifestyle devices.

Realme ended 2021 as the Philippines’ top smartphone vendor based on market-research firm Canalys’ local sell-in data for the first quarter to the fourth quarter. But it won’t rest on its laurels, of course. It will still continue to focus on the following: winning user-oriented philosophy and continued product innovation as a brand that is for and by the youth.

“Realme is and will always be a user-oriented brand, and our products are the key to our success,” Realme Philippines’ vice-president for marketing Austine Huang said. “We seek to understand our customers’ needs and optimize our product portfolio to meet the market needs and situation in this ever-evolving landscape.”

Expect more 5G devices from the world’s fastest-growing 5G Android phone brand in the third quarter last year. Expect a burgeoning ecosystem of AIoT Realme products. Expect new purchase channels and service centers. And expect branding campaigns that include a stronger presence in the esports and gaming scene and a more robust Dare To Dream social program.
