It looks like Infinix Mobile Philippines is not yet ready to let up a bit. After launching the Infinix Zero X Pro with a 60x zoom camera, the emerging smartphone brand has released something for budget-conscious consumers.

In case you missed it, the 4GB/64GB Infinix Hot 11S in black and green colors is now available on Lazada Philippines. With its P6,990 (roughly $138) suggested retail price, the goal is to “disrupt the leaderboards in the below-P7,000 gaming-phone category with its top-notch dual-chip processor, triple cameras, and a wider immersive display.”

A purple variant of the 4GB/64GB model — plus a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that will retail at P7,990 ($158) — will be released in November.

The Infinix Hot 11S is one of the first devices to use a MediaTek Helio G88, which is an iterative upgrade over the Hot 10S‘ Helio G85 chipset. Based on our experience with the G88-based Xiaomi Redmi 10, the 11S should be able to run most games at low to medium settings. And with a screen that features 90Hz refresh and 180Hz touch-sampling rates, we expect a better experience particularly when gaming.

The Infinix Hot 11S bumps up the megapixels on its main camera to 50 megapixels. There are cinematic dual speakers with DTS. And while the battery capacity is now 5,000mAh, we’re glad to see that it charges over a USB-C port and not a microUSB one anymore. Plus 5,000mAh should still be enough for a day of average usage.

“With a set of powerful features at an affordable price, the Infinix Hot 11S … provides the much-needed boost for gamers, students, and young professionals,” Infinix Mobile Philippines PR manager Joseph Cernitchez said.
