Alongside the Xiaomi Mi TV P1 series (our unboxing of the TV is up), the company has formally launched the Xiaomi Pad 5 in the Philippines, adding yet another compelling Android device to its 2021 offerings.
Locally, Xiaomi’s iPad competitor will be offered in two colors: Cosmic Gray and Pearl White. The 6GB/128GB variant carries a suggested retail price of P17,990 (around $358), while the 6GB/256GB version costs P19,990 ($398). Both will be available at Xiaomi Authorized Stores nationwide beginning October 1.
However, interested customers can also purchase the tablet from the Xiaomi Official Global Store on Lazada on September 24 at a special price of P14,990 ($298) — with a free Xiaomi Smart Pen to boot — throughout its initial sale date. Take note that the discount only applies to the base model of the Xiaomi Pad 5.

Regardless, that’s a genuinely tempting offer for a premium Android tablet with full stylus support. We should also tell you that the Smart Pen snaps on the Pad 5 magnetically and charges while attached to the side of the tablet.
Impressively, the tablet packs an 11-inch WQHD+ 120Hz display that supports 10-bit color depth as well as Dolby Vision. It also ships with quad speakers featuring Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. Under the hood, you get an efficient yet powerful 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 spec. A 8,720mAh battery keeps the lights on.
